Comparable to GPT4, Claude 2 can also pass the bar exam, scoring above the 90th percentile compared to college students applying to graduate school. It’s reasoning and math capabilities also seem to match GPT4! Yet it comes with one of the most anticipated LLM features, a 100k tokens context window. “Users can input up to 100K tokens in each prompt, which means that Claude can work over hundreds of pages of technical documentation or even a book”. What you need to know:

  • The chatbot is free and open in the US and UK for now

  • You can upload a file (e.g., pdf, code, etc.) and chat about it, including data analysis, or code improvements.

  • Claude 2 doesn’t offre a web browsing feature yet.

  • API access is still in beta with a restricted access ; we do know however that it will be 4-5 times cheaper than GPT4!

Google’s ChatGPT competitor is now world wide available! This comes with a recent update (July 13th 2023) including as well,

  • 40 new languages, including German, Arabic, Chinese, Spanish, and Hindi.

  • And a new “import images” feature: add images into your conversations to unlock new scenarios. This feature is integrated with Google Lens and is initially available in English.

What is the fuss all about? Code Interpreter behaves as an Agent. It can take a file as an input (e.g., code, data, etc.) and iterate with you to reach a certain goal. For instance, if you ask it to analyze and visualize data, it will:

  • Plan the needed work

  • Execute it step by step while explaining the steps and results

  • Display the charts if required.

It’s now accessible to all ChatGPT plus users. You just need to activate it first in the settings.
